Poker Tables That Actually Run All Day

We keep 60 poker tables in action. All day, every day. That is our normal operating mode at Playground Poker Club & Casino, and a big part of why players from all over Canada make the trip to our room just south of Montreal, in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke.

Our cash games include No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, and Pineapple. These do not run in short windows or only on certain nights - they are live around the clock. Before you head over, you can text 514-616-5176 within an hour of arrival and we add your name to the waitlist before you even get in the car. You can also check the Poker Atlas App to see which tables and stakes are running in real time, so you have a rough plan before walking in.

The waitlist is handled digitally, which matters when the room is packed on a Friday evening. You simply watch your name move up the queue on the screen instead of hovering near the podium. It takes some pressure off, and the room feels less hectic than it could with only a handwritten list.

Getting Into a Cash Game

Joining a cash game is simple once you have done it once or twice, and most of our regular players follow pretty much the same pattern. Before you leave home or your hotel, open the Poker Atlas App or visit playground.ca to check which games and stakes are currently open. If you are going to arrive within the next hour, send a quick text to 514-616-5176 and we will place you on the list remotely so your wait is shorter.

When you arrive at our property on Route 138 in Kahnawake, you head straight to the poker desk. There, our floor staff will confirm which game and stake you want and how far up the list you are. One thing we always suggest: as soon as you sit down, hand the dealer your Playground rewards card right away rather than waiting a few orbits. Your points start to track from the moment you are officially in the game, and it is easy to forget this part once the cards are flying.

  1. Open the Poker Atlas App or check playground.ca before leaving.
  2. If you are under an hour away, text 514-616-5176 to join the list.
  3. Make your way to Route 138 in Kahnawake and go to the poker desk.
  4. Confirm the game type and stakes you want with floor staff.
  5. At your table, give the dealer your rewards card before the first hand is dealt.
  6. Ask the dealer to confirm the buy-in minimum and maximum for that table.

On weekends, seats disappear quicker than most new players expect. Using the text line is not just a nice extra, it is often the practical way to avoid a long wait when the room is running at or near capacity.

Choosing the Right Game for Your Session

No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, and Pineapple each play differently, and the choice matters before you sit down. Hold’em tends to draw the widest range of players and stakes, making it the most accessible starting point if you are newer to the room. Pot Limit Omaha attracts players who are comfortable with four hole cards and bigger swings in pot size. Pineapple sits somewhere between the two in terms of action. If you are unsure which table fits your session goals, the floor staff at the poker desk can walk you through what is currently running and at what stakes, so you are not guessing once you are already seated.

Tournament Calendar and Satellites

We maintain a steady tournament schedule, built around daily tournaments, weekly recurring events, and bigger festival-style series during peak periods. The complete and current calendar is posted at playground.ca/poker/tournament-calendar, and we update it on a regular basis when formats or start times move. Satellite tournaments connect directly into higher buy-in events, so players with smaller or medium bankrolls still have a realistic path to sit down in the bigger fields without paying the full entry upfront.

Our festival events draw a mix of local players, Canadians from other provinces, and international visitors. We typically run multiple starting flights, allow re-entry within the stated limits, and schedule side events at the same time so there is always something to play. Detailed blind structures, prize payout formats, and level lengths are all listed on the tournament calendar page, so you know the pace of play and prize spread before you commit to a seat.

If you are targeting a specific tournament, we strongly suggest showing up at least 30 minutes before the advertised start time. Tournament registration can take a little longer when there is a line, and scrambling for a seat card while the first level is already going is not a great way to start a day.

  1. Go to playground.ca/poker/tournament-calendar.
  2. Choose the event you want and read the buy-in, format and start time details.
  3. Look for any listed satellite path into that event.
  4. Register ahead of time in person at the venue or confirm your plan with the poker desk.
  5. Arrive about 30 minutes early and check the blind structure sheet placed at your table.

Cash Games and Tournament Access

Playground Poker Club & Casino runs 60 poker tables around the clock, with no scheduled downtime between sessions.

Available cash game formats include:

  • No Limit Hold’em
  • Pot Limit Omaha
  • Pineapple

All three formats are available daily without time restrictions. Players arriving within an hour can text 514-616-5176 to join the waitlist before reaching the venue. The Poker Atlas App also shows live table and stakes information in real time, so you can check what is running before you leave home. The digital waitlist system lets players track their position on screen rather than waiting near the front desk. For tournament schedules and satellite events, the full calendar is posted at playground.ca/poker/tournament-calendar.

Bad Beat Jackpot

Our bad beat jackpot adds an extra layer to cash game play that many players end up valuing more than they thought they would. The jackpot is triggered when a very strong hand that meets the posted criteria loses to an even stronger hand in an eligible cash game pot. When that happens, the payout does not only go to the winner and the unlucky loser. Everyone seated at that table receives a portion of the jackpot.

Because of that shared payout, the dynamic at the tables shifts slightly. Even when you have folded preflop, you still have a stake when two monster hands collide. Current jackpot amounts and the specific qualifying hand requirements are posted clearly at playground.ca/promotions/poker/bad-beat-jackpot. Our floor staff apply the rules and confirm eligibility, and only active cash game hands that meet the published conditions can trigger a payout.

Beyond the Poker Floor

We are not limited to poker tables. On the rest of our gaming floor, more than 1,200 electronic gaming machines are running across the property, which firmly places Playground in full-casino territory rather than as a standalone card room. On top of that, three on-site restaurants operate under the same roof, so you can eat between levels or during a cash game session without leaving the building at all.

This setup matters most on long days, especially when you are deep in a tournament and only have short breaks. Our venue has been working in this expanded format since 2010, when we opened as Playground Poker Club and later grew our casino offering. Playground Poker Club and Playground are listed as licensees of the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission, with listings covering both poker room and electronic gaming device operations.

Rewards Program and Account Access

Every time you play, whether it is at the poker tables or at our gaming machines, you generate rewards points through our player program. Points accumulate over time as you play, and you can redeem them following the options listed at playground.ca/rewards/how-to-redeem. You need an active online account linked to your rewards profile to see and use these balances. Keeping this account in good standing is important, because certain jackpot-related eligibility is tied directly to your player record.

To manage your account, go to playground.ca/login. Existing players can sign in there, and new players can complete a registration through that same page if they have not done so yet. If you forget your password, use the password recovery tool on the login screen; the process is short and does not require extra steps.

  1. Visit playground.ca/login.
  2. Enter your email and password that you registered with us.
  3. After logging in, move to the rewards area to see your current point balance.
  4. Pick the redemption option you prefer and confirm it through the on-screen prompt.
  5. For anything that needs to be processed on-site, present your rewards card at the poker desk or at the gaming floor cashier.
  6. If something in your account balance looks off after a session, call 1-800-461-0140 so we can review it with you.

One general habit we recommend: when you are playing several sessions in a short trip, check your rewards balance before you leave the property. Sorting out any questions about tracked play and points while you are still on-site is almost always smoother than handling it later by phone.
